FOREIGNER's MICK JONES Working On Biography-Documentary

FOREIGNER is pretty busy right now performing to capacity crowds on "The Soundtrack Of Summer" tour with STYX, but that's not the only thing the band is working on. Guitarist Mick Jones told VH1 Radio Network's Dave Basner about a big project he is helping out with.

"There's sort of a biography-documentary that's gonna be in the making within the next six months," he said. "It's tentatively called 'A Foreigner's Tale', so that's kind of an exciting prospect, to get my life together and look at it. It's been a long career in music and it's taken me all over the world to strange places, and some hilarious, some scary experiences. I figured I'd share them, at last."

Mick is working on the special with a British broadcaster and said that once the film is complete, it will be available in the States as well as overseas.

A teaser web site for the documentary can be found at this location.

FOREIGNER kicked off its joint tour with STYX and special guest, former EAGLES guitarist Don Felder, on May 14, in Wichita, Kansas at the Intrust Bank Arena.

With ten multi-platinum albums and sixteen Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER is universally hailed as one of the most popular rock acts in the world with a formidable musical arsenal that continues to propel sold-out tours and album sales, now exceeding 75 million. Responsible for some of rock and roll's most enduring anthems, FOREIGNER continues to rock the charts more than thirty years into the game. "Our music has touched a lot of people worldwide," said Jones. "Unwittingly, we've weaved into the fabric of people's lives."

At FOREIGNER's core is Jones, the visionary maestro whose stylistic songwriting, indelible guitar hooks and multi-layered talents continue to escalate FOREIGNER's influence, along with lead vocalist Kelly Hansen, bass guitarist Jeff Pilson, drummer Chris Frazier, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Gimbel. In June 2013, Mick Jones was inducted to the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. A multi-talented and multi-dimensional "musician's musician," Jones has also written songs such as "Bad Love" with Eric Clapton and "Dreamer" with Ozzy Osbourne, and produced records for others including BILLY JOEL's "Storm Front" and VAN HALEN's "5150".
