FORCE OF EVIL: Greek Date Canceled

FORCE OF EVIL were forced (ahem!) to cancel their show with VIRGIN STEELE in Thessaloniki, Greece Saturday night (Feb. 14) due to a heavy snowstorm in Greece, according to a posting at the group's web site. The Athens show, scheduled to take place Sunday (Feb. 15), was still on as of late Friday. "We all went to the airport and checked in, but never got the take-off permission," the band write. "Working on [rescheduling the] Thessaloniki [show]."

FORCE OF EVIL is the new Danish all-star band featuring guitarist Michael Denner (ex-MERCYFUL FATE), guitarist Hank Shermann (MERCYFUL FATE), bassist Hal Patino (KING DIAMOND), drummer Bjarne Holm (MERCYFUL FATE), and vocalist Martin Steene (IRONFIRE). The group will be performing at the Vega concert hall in Copenhagen, Denmark on February 20. Also appearing on the bill will be CORNERSTONE, the project featuring ROYAL HUNT bassist Steen Mogensen and ex-RAINBOW/current YNGWIE MALMSTEEN vocalist Doogie White.

FORCE OF EVIL's self-titled debut album was released in the U.S. late last month through Escapi Music in coordination with Navarre Distribution.
