FOR MY PAIN…: In Recording Mode

March 21, 2004

FOR MY PAIN…, the Finnish "gothic metal" band featuring Tuomas Holopainen (NIGHTWISH) on keyboards, Altti Veteläinen (ex-ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW) on bass, Lauri Tuohimaa (EMBRAZE) on guitar, Olli-Pekka Törrö (ex-ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW) on guitar, Juha Kylmänen (REFLEXION) on vocals, and Petri Sankala (ex-ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW) on drums, have entered Tico Tico studio in Kemi, Finland to begin recording a new EP/single, due late spring through Spinefarm Records. The following is Altti's studio report from the first day of recording:

"The first day of the recording session is over. We recorded drums and some rhythm guitars for two songs of the upcoming single. Everything turned out very well and we're very satisfied for the big and heavy sound, which was created by Ahti Kortelainen, the engineer of Tico Tico studios. We can promise that it will kick some serious ass!!

"Here are some photos from today. They were captured by a camera phone, so the quality is a bit fuzzy.

"We will continue recordings next Saturday (March 27) and we promise to give you the latest news from the studio! Stay heavy!"

As previously reported, FOR MY PAIN… have been confirmed for the Jalometalli Festival, set to take place August 20 in Oulu, Finland. Other groups scheduled to appear include THE DUSKFALL, THYRANE, MAPLE CROSS, LAMBS, PAIN CONFESSOR, DARK FLOOD and DIAMANTHIAN.
