FLYLEAF Too Busy To Reflect On Success

The Pulse of Radio reports that FLYLEAF landed a platinum album award last week for sales of one million copies of the band's self-titled 2005 debut album. The award caps more than two years of touring and promotion that included stints with KORN and the Family Values Tour, as well as two rock radio singles, "I'm So Sick" and "Fully Alive". Guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya told The Pulse of Radio that the band has barely had a chance to reflect on its success. "They keep us so busy that we really don't know quite what's going on," he said. "We haven't really had time to reflect on what's happening. We've just been kind of 'go, go, go.'That's probably the best part about it, just getting to travel and getting to see other people everywhere you go, and different cultures and everything. It's one of those things that people, you know, dream of doing and no one really gets a chance to do it, you know, and here we are, it's our job."

The third and latest single from FLYLEAF's album is "All Around Me".

FLYLEAF will begin work on its second CD sometime later this year.

The band starts a North American tour with SEETHER on April 8 in Denver.

FLYLEAF is also traveling to Rwanda this month with World Vision to see the work being done to address the current HIV/AIDS epidemic. Following this, the band will act as spokespersons for World Vision's "Use Your Voice" campaign, which will raise awareness and funding for programs that transform the lives of orphans and children in Africa impacted by HIV/AIDS.
