FLOTSAM AND JETSAM: Original Guitarist MIKE GILBERT To Rejoin Band For BANG YOUR HEAD!!!

June 17, 2006

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM drummer Craig Nielsen has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Ed Carlson [guitar] will not be going with us to Germany for the Bang Your Head!!! [festival]. Instead none other than Mike Gilbert — of course, the other original guitarist who left after the 'High' record, will be taking Ed's place for the show. This should be very cool news for die-hard FLOTSAM fans because having Mike back for that very big show is an extremely special event for this band. We are all looking forward to it. Again, the festival is June 22 and 23. I happen to think it's the best lineup of old-school metal anywhere in the world this year. Also, we are definitely still confirmed for the Hollywood House Of Blues on July 7, with DEATH ANGEL and ARMORED SAINT. Finally, our European tour in November is still being finalzed as of this post. I will have the dates hopefully this month."

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's "Live In Japan" DVD was released in February via Crash Music, Inc. The disc was filmed over three shows in Japan in January of 2004.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM's latest album, "Dreams of Death", is available now on Crash Music, Inc. The CD was engineered by Tom Giatron and produced by FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and Tom Giatron at Genesis Studios in Phoenix. Travis Smith did the cover art.

FLOTSAM AND JETSAM was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1984 by bassist Jason Newsted, who eventually left the band to join METALLICA. The group's current lineup is completed by Eric A.K. (vocals),Jason Ward (bass),and Mark Simpson (guitar).
