January 11, 2005

Belgian death metal outfit FLESHMOULD will enter the studio on January 14 to record a new EP — the group's first to feature guitarist Dave Vanlokeren and singer Sven Houfflijn (ex-ANESTHESY, IMPEDIGON),who joined the band in August. The EP will contain three brand-new tracks, a re-recording of an old song and various extras. New songtitles set to appear on the CD are "Bitter Harvest", "Apocalyptus Rexx" and "Icarian Fall".

As previously reported, FLESHMOULD have finished writing 10 new songs for their sophomore album. The group are tentatively planning on entering the studio in March 2005 to begin recording the effort, tentatively due in the summer.

FLESHMOULD's full-length debut, "Incompatible Fragments", was released in 2003 through the SCRecords label. It was recorded at ShumCot SoundLab in Aartrijke, Belgium between December 2002 and January 2003 and was produced, engineered and mixed by ReinieR. Mastering duties were handled by Rudy De Keyser at DK Studio in Destelbergen, Belgium. Audio samples from the CD are available at this location.
