FINNISH METAL AWARDS Voting Now Open

The third annual Finnish Metal Expo will be held at Helsinki's Kaapelitehdas on February 16 and 17, 2007. Among the many events of this international music fair is the presentation of the Finnish Metal Awards to outstanding artists of the national scene. Voting is now possible at www.imperiumi.net/fma2006 in the following categories:

* "Levy" (album),
* "Bändi" (band),
* "Tulokas" (new artist),
* "Kansitaide" (cover artwork),
* "Soittaja" (instrumentalist),
* "Laulaja" (vocalist),and
* a free category, "Imperiumi-palkinto", where anything related to the Finnish metal scene (i.e. people, magazines, festivals etc) can be suggested for consideration.

Apart from the FMA gala, the expo features a multitude of stands and clinics as well as plenty of live music; confirmed at this point are the following bands:
