FACE DOWN Play First Show With New Drummer: Photos Available

March 17, 2006

FACE DOWN, the reunited Swedish outfit featuring former THE HAUNTED singer Marco Aro, played their first show with drummer Christofer Barkensjö (KAAMOS, BLACKSHINE) on March 10 at Club Monster in Gävle, Sweden. Check out "some truly lo-fi quality pictures" from the show at this location.

Barkensjö joined FACE DOWN as the replacement for Erik Thyselius, who will continue to be involved with CONSTRUCDEAD and TERROR 2000.

As previously reported, FACE DOWN entered the Swedish hard rock album chart at position No. 19 with their latest effort, "The Will to Power" back in November 2005. The CD was recorded at Fear and Loathing studio (co-owned by MESHUGGAH and CLAWFINGER) in Spånga, Sweden with engineer/producer Jocke Skog (CLAWFINGER) and was mastered at the Cutting Room. A limited-edition version of "The Will to Power" includes special DVD-box packaging, a specially designed slip-case, an XL version of the booklet, a FACE DOWN sticker, and two bonus tracks not found on the regular CD edition ("My Sacrifice" and "Strife", re-recorded versions).

Upcoming FACE DOWN shows:

Apr. 08 - Club Aska - Örebro, SWE
Apr. 15 - Inferno Festival @ John Dee - Oslo, NOR
Apr. 27 - Klubb Kol @ Debaser - Stockholm, SWE
Jul. 14 - Arvikafestivalen - Arvika, SWE
