EYES SET TO KILL To Release New Album In June

April 4, 2009

Phoenix-based band EYES SET TO KILL will release its sophomore album, "The World Outside", on June 2 via BreakSilence Recordings. Written and recorded by the band in Los Angeles with producer Dave Aguilera (ex-OTEP, BLEED THE DREAM) and mixed by Thom Flowers (THE ATARIS),the CD showcases the band's evolution from their screamo beginnings into powerful songwriters that resonate raw emotion.

"Our debut album was great, but I feel like we got signed so quickly that we didn't have time to really write everything that I wanted," says singer Alexia Rodriguez. "We were fresh out of high school and on the road playing shows every day and then we jumped straight from the road into the studio. There was no time for the songs to breathe or evolve. With this record, I just put all the raw emotions I've kept to myself and let them bleed out into the music."

Hot off the heels of a completely sold-out out tour alongside DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, EYES SET TO KILL has announced the dates for its trek with GWEN STACY, MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and BELLE EPOQUE. The tour is slated to kick off April 29 in Terre Haute, Indiana and run throughout the month of May, with more dates to be announced shortly.

EYES SET TO KILL's latest album "Reach", debuted at No. 29 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 77 on Billboard's Independent Music chart. The CD is powered by the dual lead vocal attack of Alexia Rodriguez's melodic vocals and the gut-wrenching screams of Brandon Anderson to create a sound Alternative Press called "sparkling melodic prowess and filthy screamo grind."
