EYES OF FIRE Parts Ways With Guitarist

September 23, 2006

Orange County ambient-metal quintet EYES OF FIRE has posted the following message on its official web site:

"EYES OF FIRE have had yet more line-up changes since we've last updated you all. Bobby Thomas [guitar] has decided to leave the band on his own accord.

"EYES OF FIRE wish him the best of luck and know that good things will come to him and his tremendous talent. EYES OF FIRE would like to thank Bobby for doing these tours and dealing with our smelly asses for the last year or so, being cramped in a van and not getting a good night's sleep ever while on the road. Good luck, Bobby, you will be missed.

"Now on to other EYES OF FIRE news. The remaining members have locked themselves away in their rehearsal studio to start the writing process for their next release. The first batch of jam sessions have proven to be very fruitful and the band is very excited to head into their own studio to start demoing the songs and tweaking them where need be. The band is trying to something epic on this next release. Trying to push the boundaries that surround preconceived ideas of who and what EYES OF FIRE should be. We'll through up an MP3 once the band has decided that the song is good enough to be shown to their fans and friends a like."

EYES OF FIRE's latest CD, "Prisons", was recorded at Grandmaster Recorders (TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS) with renowned producer Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS).
