EYES OF FIRE Embark On Headlining U.S. Tour; New Track Now Available

January 17, 2006

Orange County-based quintet EYES OF FIRE will embark on a lengthy headlining U.S. tour with LOSA early next month in support of their highly anticipated sophomore release, "Prisons", which is set for a February 7 release. The trek, which runs from Feb. 3 through March 4, will be the group's first headlining cross-country U.S. venture.

In Jan. 2005, EYES OF FIRE entered Grandmaster Recorders (TOOL, NINE INCH NAILS) to begin tracking "Prisons" with renowned producer Matt Bayles (MASTODON, ISIS),and the results were unlike anything they ever expected. A video for the track "It All Dies Today" was shot by acclaimed director Gary Smithson (EXODUS, HIGH ON FIRE); look for it to make its Fuse and MTV2 debut this spring.

Commented Dan Kaufman (guitars, vocals): "We are more than excited to be heading out on this tour with some good friends [LOSA] and sharing the stage with other great bands such as WITHERED and ORTHRELM. Everyone please try to do your damnedest to get your butts out of your houses this winter and rip it up with us for an evening or two. Who knows how long the small tours will last with how much crap we have planned for this year. We are already in the early stages of planning two other full U.S. tours and maybe even a third, and it's only January.

"The new album is already getting amazing reviews, and we are only in the beginning stages of hitting the press with this release. Also, today I saw for the first time the finished version of the video for 'It All Dies Today', and I must say that it's fucking amazing. Gary Smithson hit a fucking home run with this video. I'm more than impressed with the outcome, and this one will see the light of day unlike other attempts we've tried in the past. This is just the beginning of the most important year of EYES OF FIRE's life. Hope to see you all out on the road and enjoy yourselves in our merriment."
