EYEHATEGOD: Texas, Louisiana Dates Announced

August 13, 2007

New Orleans sludge-meisters EYEHATEGOD have scheduled the following dates:

Sep. 14 - The Bar - Metairie, LA
Sep. 27 - Renaissance Club - Lafayette, LA
Sep. 28 – Emo's - Austin, TX
Sep. 29 - The Wreck Room - Ft. Worth, TX
Sep. 30 – [to be announced] - Monroe, LA

EYEHATEGOD recently decided to make its long-out-of-print seven-inch single, "99 Miles of Bad Road", available as a free download. Originally released in 2004, this seven-inch EP features rare demo recordings of the songs "99 Miles of Bad Road", "Story of the Eye" and "Jackass in the Will of God". Cover artwork and liner notes were done by vocalist Mike Williams and the record is accompanied by a sticker, patch and a full-colored poster.

A rare video clip of EYEHATEGOD performing live at at Storyville Jazz Hall in New Orleans on June 30, 1989 as the opening act for EXHORDER and SOILENT GREEN has been posted online at YouTube.com.

Regarded as the founders of American sludgecore, EYEHATEGOD has become one of the most important bands to emerge from the NOLA (New Orleans, Louisana) metal scene. EYEHATEGOD formed in 1988 and became known for their heavy, detuned and bluesy guitar riffs, combined with walls of feedback and tortured vocals to create a harsh misanthropic vibe.
