EXPULSION: Early Demos To Be Released On CD

November 17, 2009

In 1988, EXPULSION was formed out of the ashes of thrash band RIVER'S EDGE. RIVER'S EDGE vocalist Johan Edlund went on to start TREBLINKA, and later TIAMAT. Magnus Krantz, the lead guitarist of RIVER'S EDGE, joined TRANQUILLITY. Bassist Anders Holmberg, guitarist Stefan Lagergren and drummer Calle Fransson continued to play together as EXPULSION. Anders and Stefan also played with Johan and Juck in TREBLINKA and both played on the legendary TIAMAT debut, "Sumerian Cry".

EXPULSION released two demos — "Cerebral Cessation" and "Veiled In The Mists of Mystery" — before the band was put on hold in late 1990. In late 1991, the group reformed with a different lineup and released the EP "A Bitter Twist of Fate" as well as the albums "Overflow" and "Man Against".

In 2010, Vic Records will release "Certain Corpses Never Decay", a compilation of the two demos, along with an unreleased 7" and a compilation-only track. It should be noted, however, that EXPULSION is *NOT* reunited.
