November 24, 2004

Californian gore-metallers EXHUMED have revealed a partial list of songs that will appear on their upcomining covers CD, entitled "Regurgitated Requiems: Garbage Daze Re-Regurgitated". Recordings for the effort will begin the week after the Thanksgiving holiday, and will take place in Los Angeles, Canada, and the Bay Area. Songs set to appear on the album include (original composer/performer listed first):

HEXX – "Twice as Bright, Half as Long"
EPIDEMIC - "In Fear We Kill"
AMEBIX - "The Power Remains"
UNSEEN TERROR - "Uninformed"
G.B.H. - "Necrophilia"
PENTAGRAM - "The Ghoul"
SIEGE - "Drop Dead"
MASTER - "Pay to Die"
METALLICA - "Trapped Under Ice"

In other news, EXHUMED have announced the addition of bassist/vocalist Leon del Muerte to the group's ranks. "Leon, known for his guitar work with EXHUMED (1996-1997) and IMPALED (1998-2001) has been with the band as a touring bass player throughout the 'Anatomy is Destiny' tour work, encompassing three U.S. tours, two European tours, as well as in Japan, Canada, Australia and Iceland," reads a posting on the group's web site.

"After serious consideration, Leon has decided to officially rejoin EXHUMED on bass. He will continue to be active in MURDER CONSTRUCT and his other band as a guitar player, however. 'I can't wait to get drunk for free again!' Leon stated, adding, 'I'm looking forward to some fucking killer shows and tours coming up in 2005!'

"EXHUMED is once again at full-strength, and ready to assault your homes and ears in 2005, which promises to be a very interesting year for the band, with an album of covers and a DVD in the pipeline, as well as a European tour already in the planning stages for May, with more touring to follow.

" 'We are all psyched to have Leon 'officially' back in the fold!' affirmed EXHUMED mouthpiece Matt Harvey. 'After all the touring he’s done with us, we already know that the kids accept him and that he can drink heavily on a nearly-constant basis β€” and besides, he's been part of the family for years now, so we already know it works!' Del Muerte will appear on the upcoming 'Regurgitated Requiems' album, his first appearance on an EXHUMED studio recording since 1997's 'Chords of Chaos' (a four-way split CD released in Brazil β€” now available on Platters of Splatter)."
