EXHORDER Frontman, DOWN/C.O.C. Drummer Join Forces In JONES'S LOUNGE

July 23, 2002

JONES'S LOUNGE is the name of a brand new studio project that includes in its ranks Kyle Thomas (EXHORDER, FLOODGATE),Dax Thieler (GREEN LEAF CULT),Jimmy Bower (DOWN, C.O.C., SUPERJOINT RITUAL, EYEHATEGOD) and Jason Portera (PITS VS. PREPS).

An 11-song album was recently produced by former UGLY KID JOE guitarist Dave Fortman at Fortman's Balance Studio, with Thomas describing the music on the effort as "powerful and melodic with many different personalities."

"Bower played drums on nine tracks, and Portera played drums on two and guitar on one," Kyle told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Dax played most guitar tracks and all of the bass, with me playing some rhythm and most leads and overdubs. Even Fortman played some leads—it was truly collaborative on all sides. I did all vocals and arrangements as well.

"As of now we're preparing to market this thing on our own, yet we're not closed to the right label situation," the singer added/ "Until it reveals itself we're happy to print it on our own and sign a distribution deal."

Among the cuts included on JONES'S LOUNGE's debut CD are the following:

01. Sometime
02. The Midnight Rope
03. Jones's Lounge
04. Dead Swine, A Fallen Angel
