Ex-LED ZEPPELIN Bassist To Appear At London Gig In Support Of MAG

April 3, 2002

Former LED ZEPPELIN bassist John Paul Jones and singer/songwriter Julie Felix will be playing a free live gig at London's Borders Books Music & Café, located at 208 Oxford Street, at 6:30 PM on April 12th. The performance will take place in conjunction with Manchester based MAG (Mines Advisory Group),which is working to bring awareness to the anti-landmine campaign. Following the success of the MAG concert at Manchester's Lyric Theatre earlier this year, the two have decided to team up again at Borders where contributions to MAG will be accepted.

Singer/songwriter Julie Felix has been acutely aware of the consequences of military aggression on the Third World since the 60's. Having visited countries affected by mines, Julie sought out a way to become personally involved in the clearing of landmines from these wounded lands. Along with Julie, John Paul Jones lends his services and musical talents to support MAG and help address this urgent cause.
