Ex-HADES Guitarist DAN LORENZO: New Solo Track Available For Download

December 5, 2004

HADES guitarist Dan Lorenzo has issued the following update on the recording sessions for his new solo album:

"Three nights ago I went into Crystal Studios and recorded the lead off track off my next CD. My third solo CD will be out in February and I'm calling it 'Cut From A Different Cloth'. The first track 'Clintonesque' is up now on my site, DanLorenzo.net, and available for download.

"This song is just me and a drum machine, which I've never used before for an actual recording, other than home recorded demos. I'm pretty sure it might go over
better on Blabbermouth than the new MÖTLEY CRÜE posts I've been reading.....except for the subject matter.

"I know most metalheads are not enamored with George Bush — I'm still upset the Clintons weren't deported, let alone elected back into office. I still remember a Hillary interview where she was asked about allegations of her husbands infidelity. She said something like, 'I'm not like the song 'Stand By Your Man'.' She acted like she would never knowingly put up with a husband who cheats. My new song is based on the fear/anger that she could get the election in 2008.

"The bulk of my next CD will be doomy/stoner rock (even though I'm straight-edge) like my first two, but this is a song I've been working on. Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson (Crank Yankers) have recorded a couple prank phone calls for my new CD. Jimmy Schulman (ex-HADES bassist) and Ron Lipnicki (drums) will play on most of my new CD."
