EX DEO/KATAKLYSM Frontman Interviewed In Belgium; Video Available

Metalchroniques.com conducted an interview with EX DEO/KATAKLYSM frontman Maurizio Iacono at the September 20, 2009 Antwerpen, Belgium stop of EX DEO's Paganfest Europe tour with KORPIKLAANI, DIE APOKALYPTISCHEN REITER, UNLEASHED, ALESTORM and SWASHBUCKLE. Watch the chat in two parts below.

"Romulus", the debut album from EX DEO, sold around 600 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 90 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Released on June 19 (Europe) and June 30 (North America) via Nuclear Blast Records, "Romulus" was recorded with producer (and KATAKLYSM guitarist) Jean-Francois Dagenais (MISERY INDEX, DESPISED ICON, MALEVOLENT CREATION).

EX DEO's video for the song "Romulus" was shot in March in Belgrade, Serbia with renowned director Stanimir "Staca" Lukic (MOONSPELL, KAMELOT, DEATHSTARS, TYPE O NEGATIVE).
