EVERGREEN TERRACE Schedules 10-Year-Anniversary Hometown Concert

January 5, 2010

Jacksonville, Florida's EVERGREEN TERRACE will play a 10-year-anniversary hometown show on Saturday, January 16 at Jack Rabbits. Also scheduled to appear are STRETCH ARM STRONG, BANE and HIS NAME WAS IRON.

Commented EVERGREEN TERRACE guitarist Joshua James: "The last 10 years have been completely unexpected. We never thought this band would become such a huge part of our lives and we want to thank everyone who has supported us over the years.

"Please come out January 16th to celebrate our 10-year anniversary. This won't be just another show, it will be a memory for all of us and you as well. Our good friends in STRETCH ARM STRONG and BANE will be playing along with our friends and upcoming band: HIS NAME WAS IRON.

"Get your tickets today, you don't want to miss this!"

"Almost Home", the latest album from EVERGREEN TERRACE, sold around 2,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 17 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

Continuing its blistering combination of melodic hardcore and metal, EVERGREEN TERRACE has gone back to its roots on "Almost Home". "I think this record will surprise the new listeners as well as have the old ones stoked," stated Josh James. " I'd say its best described as a good mixture of 'Burned Alive by Time' [2002] and 'Wolfbiker' [2007]."

Splitting the recording process of the album in half, the band tracked all the music at Martell Studios and all of the vocals at AudioHammer (AUGUST BURNS RED, BURY YOUR DEAD, TRIVIUM, etc.).

"We've always had a lot of pop culture references in our song titles and this record is no exception," said James. "Before we even started writing new songs, we already have a list of titles from books, movies, and comedians. Half of the song titles on this record are pulled from the lyrics. The others are pop culture references that relate to the lyrical content."
