ESSENCE Signs With ULTIMHATE RECORDS

January 17, 2011

Danish thrash metallers ESSENCE have inked a deal with Belgium's Ultimhate Records for the release of the band's debut album, "Lost In Violence". Due on February 25, the CD was recorded at Medley Studios (ARTILLERY, PRINCE, RADIOHEAD, MARY J. BLIGE, KELLY CLARKSON, THE CARDIGANS) in Copenhagen and was produced and mixed by Soren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Dave Mustaine, Mike Tramp). The mastering duties were handled by Nikolaj Vinten at Vinten Mastering (COLDPLAY, D-A-D, DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY). The cover artwork was created by Justin Osbourn from Slash Design (ABORTED, SUICIDE SILENCE, ABIGAIL WILLIAMS, MAROON, SKELETONWITCH) and can be viewed below.

Commented the band: "We have chosen Ultimhate Records based on the seriousness and passion for metal, which is very strong amongst them. They have exciting visions for the future and a dedicated labor force, combined with a vast network.

"We are delighted that our album hits the streets and the Internet, so we can spread our thrash metal as broadly as possible. Finally, we can begin to look forward and focus all our energy on getting out on the Danish and European roads in 2011. We will also start writing new material for the next record, which we now can do well-knowing that our first album is in competent hands."

ESSENCE can be experienced live in March and early April when the band will participate in 3rd Tsunami Agency's "The New Era Tour", featuring ESSENCE and two other Danish acts performing all across Denmark. In addition, ESSENCE is currently working on a music video, an agreement with a studio for the recordings for the band's next album and setting up shows and festival appearances in Europe.
