ENTOMBED TO Utilize Former MISERY LOVES CO. Drummer For Upcoming Gigs

September 13, 2005

Long-running Swedish metallers ENTOMBED will be utilizing the services of stand-in session drummer Olle Dahlstedt (ALPHA SAFARI, ex-MISERY LOVES CO.) for all of their previously announced live gigs in September/October while the group's regular skinsman, Peter Stjärnvind, and his wife are awaiting the arrival of their first child. However, contrary to rumors, Stjärnvind will in fact be returning to the band in time for the recording sessions for their new studio album, which are expected to begin next month.

As previously reported, ENTOMBED have amicably parted ways with guitarist Ulf "Uffe" Cederlund. ENTOMBED will continue as a four-piece and are expected in to release their new album in early 2006 via Threeman Recordings. Previously announced songtitles, "The Fiery Father", "I Need Hell", "Radarslave" and "Burn the Flag", had come from Uffe and are unlikely to be included on the upcoming CD.

ENTOMBED's last studio album, "Inferno", received its long-awaited U.S. release in August 2004 through Candlelight Records. The special U.S. edition of "Inferno" included a bonus disc, "Averno", featuring two previously unreleased songs from the "Inferno" sessions as well as the song "When Humanity's Gone" that was previously released on the "Inferno" vinyl. In addition, "Averno" includes the promo videos for "Retaliation" and "Albino Flogged In Black". The band's most recent release was "Unreal Estate", a special live recording of the group's now-infamous sold-out performance at Stockholm's Royal Opera Hall on March 1, 2002.
