ENTOMBED Bassist Launches Tour Blog; Footage From BAROEG OPEN AIR Available

Fan-filmed video footage of the newly expanded lineup of the long-running Swedish metal band ENTOMBED — featuring bassist Victor Brandt (TOTALT JÄVLA MÖRKER, AEON, SATYRICON) and second guitarist Nico Elgstrand (who previously played bass for the group) — performing at the Baroeg Open Air festival on September 11, 2010 at Baroeg in Rotterdam, The Netherlands can be viewed below.

In other news, Brandt's tour blog from ENTOMBED's current European trek as the support act for VOLBEAT can be found at the web site of EBS Professional Bass Equipment.

Regarding the latest changes in ENTOMBED's lineup, guitarist Alex Hellid recently said, "We've been searching for five years, the answer was right here.

Nico stated, "I just added on two more strings and now I'm officially a guitar player."

ENTOMBED performed as a five-piece for the first time in years on October 17, 2009 at Arenan in Stockholm, Sweden, with Elgstrand playing second guitar for this one gig only. Handling the bass duties for the Stockholm show and the rest of ENTOMBED's tour with AMON AMARTH was Brandt, who was filling in temporarily while Elgstrand took some time off to focus on other affairs.

ENTOMBED's latest album, "Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments", was released in the U.S. on July 31, 2007 via Candlelight/Threeman Recordings. The 10-song effort marked the group's first release with drummer Olle Dahlstedt (ALPHA SAFARI, ex-MISERY LOVES CO.), who replaced Peter Stjärnvind in 2006. Mastering duties were handled by Soren Elofsson at Cosmos Mastering in Stockholm, Sweden.

"Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments" entered the Swedish national chart at position No. 3. This was the highest chart position in the band's career.
