ENSLAVED To Guest On Norwegian 'Headbanger's Ball'

October 5, 2006

Bergen, Norway's extreme prog-metallers ENSLAVED will be the featured guests on the first episode of the Norwegian version of "Headbanger's Ball".

Hosted by VJ Pete Evil of BLOOD TSUNAMI, the Norwegian version of "Headbanger's Ball" will launch tomorrow (Friday, October 6) at 23:00 CET and will also include videos for "Path To Vanir" and "Essence", taken from ENSLAVED's latest album, "Ruun".

The Oslo venue Amplifier will link up live for a special screening of the show tomorrow night. The free-entry event at the venue starts at 22:00.

ENSLAVED recently returned from a triumphant five-week European tour with labelmates VREID and will be setting off on further foreign musical expeditions in January 2007 as they co-headline a two-week tour with DARK FUNERAL in the United States.

Regarding Pete Evil's new gig as the host of the MTV Nordic's Norwegian version of "Headbanger's Ball", Evil's BLOOD TSUNAMI bandmate Bård G. Eithun (a.k.a. Faust, drums; SCUM, ABORYM, ex-EMPEROR) told BLABBERMOUTH.NET, "In my opinion, this is a great chance to get someone with a splendid taste in music to work for the mainstream music media and eventually influence the popular-cultural agenda by playing metal and educating kids/fans a lesson or two in metal history. I would rather see for example VENOM and BLACK SABBATH on MTV than JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and NELLY FURTADO."
