ENSIFERUM Recruit NORTHER's LINDROOS For Upcoming Tour

February 19, 2004

Finnish folk-influenced melodic death metal band ENSIFERUM have recruited NORTHER's Petri Lindroos as session guitarist/vocalist for the group's upcoming European tour with FINNTROLL. In addition, the band have had the release date of their new album, "Iron", pushed back to April 19. "Spinefarm Records is not deferring the release date on purpose like many seem to think so!" the band write on their web site. "The reason for this is that the album hasn't been mastered yet! Deviating from earlier information the album is going to be mastered at Finnvox studios in Finland.

"On the compilation album 'Spinetingler III' there's a new ENSIFERUM song 'Tale of Revenge' which was completed before the other songs. You can listen a sample of it already by [clicking here]. There'll also be a single of the song 'Tale of Revenge'. The release date of the single is announced to be March 22."

As previously reported, the follow-up to 2001's "Ensiferum" was recorded last summer at Sweet Silence studios in Copenhagen, Denmark with producer Flemming Rasmussen (METALLICA, ARTILLERY).
