ELVENKING To Support JON OLIVA'S PAIN In Europe

Italian folk/power metal band ELVENKING have been confirmed as the support act for JON OLIVA'S PAIN (the solo project of SAVATAGE mastermind Jon Oliva) on their upcoming European tour. Select dates on the trek will also feature DORO and SONATA ARCTICA. Confirmed shows so far can be found at JonOliva.net.

ELVENKING released their third album, "The Winter Wake", in Europe last month via AFM Records. The CD will be issued in the U.S. on March 21. The follow-up to 2004's "Wyrd" was recorded at Sherpa Studios (Italy),mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Nino Laurenne and was mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussilla.

ELVENKING recently announced the departure of guitarist Jarpen. For the time being, the group will go on as a five-piece.
