ELVENKING To Enter Studio Next Week

November 3, 2006

Guitarist Aydan of the Italian folk/power metal band ELVENKING has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"We're ready to enter the studios [to record the fourth ELVENKING album]. On Friday next week we will fly to Germany to Gernhart studios and record the drums with Mr. Superhero himself Martin Buchwalter. Yesterday we have checked once more all drums parts to be sure that everything's working. Zender is hitting as hell and the groove is already there! We will stay in Germany the time necessay to do the drums, then back to Italy we'll have another couple of weeks to work on the last arrangements and lyrics before producer Nino Laurenne of Sonic Pump studios will land from icy Finland to set the basic sounds and the start the other recording session. (other drinking session??)

"What can I tell about the songs? One word: heavy!!! Be ready for the most crushing EK album to date, but with all the melody still there."

ELVENKING released its third album, "The Winter Wake", in Europe in January via AFM Records. The CD was issued in the U.S. in March. The follow-up to 2004's "Wyrd" was recorded at Sherpa Studios (Italy),mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Nino Laurenne and was mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussilla.
