ELVENKING: 'The Winter Wake' Release Dates Confirmed

Italian folk/power metal band ELVENKING have announced the worldwide release dates for their third album, "The Winter Wake". The follow-up to 2004's "Wyrd" was recorded at Sherpa Studios (Italy),mixed at Sonic Pump Studios by Nino Laurenne and was mastered at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussilla. The CD will be issued in the following territories:

Jan. 20th - Japan and Korea (Attic Arcade Records)
Jan. 27th - Germany (AFM Records)
Jan. 30th - Rest of Europe (AFM Records)
Feb. – South America (Laser) and Russia (CD Maximum)
March 21 - USA (Locomotive)

For Japan and Korea, the bonus track will be the non-album song "Petalstorm" and for all the other editions, the bonus track will be a cover version of SKYCLAD's "Penny Dreadful", plus a video documentary.

As previously reported, a full-length version of the new ELVENKING track "The Wanderer" has been posted online at this location (.WMA file). Check out the album cover artwork at www.elvenking.net.

ELVENKING recently announced the departure of guitarist Jarpen. For the time being, the group will go on as a five-piece.
