Rock My Monkey recently conducted an interview with vocalist Christian "Chrigel" Glanzmann of Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE. The chat is now available for streaming using the audio player below.
"Everything Remains (As It Never Was)", the new album from ELUVEITIE, was released on February 19 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was mixed at Nott-In Pill studios in Wales with Colin Richardson (SLIPKNOT, MACHINE HEAD, KREATOR, BEHEMOTH, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE) and Martyn "Ginge" Ford.
"Everything Remains (As It Never Was)" track listing:
02. Everything Remains As It Never Was
05. The Essence Of Ashes
07. Kingdom Come Undone
08. Quoth The Raven
11. Sempiternal Embers
13. The Liminal Passage
Glanzmann previously stated about the new CD, "Lyrically, the album consists of diverse stories and narrations from ancient Gallia: Historical occurrences and fates of individuals as well as myths and legends bequeathed throughout the centuries. Yet the lyrics pretty much focus on the 'human' aspects of those historical happenings and also behold them with some questioning and probably also with a slightly bittersweet smile, being well aware of the fact that today we simply cannot tell how things exactly have been back then."
ELUVEITIE's "Thousandfold" video can be viewed below. The clip was directed by the highly acclaimed production company Grupa 13, which previously worked on the controversial BEHEMOTH video "Ov Fire And The Void".
ELUVEITIE in 2008 announced the addition of Paede Kistler (bagpipes, whistles, acoustic guitars) and Kay Brem (bass) to the group's ranks.
ELUVEITIE will hit the road in February 2010 with FINNTROLL, DORNENREICH, VARG and ARKONA as part of Paganfest Europe 2010.
