ELENIUM: 'We Are Anxious To Bring Out Some New Sh*t'

January 9, 2008

Finnish "progressive death" metallers ELENIUM, whose lineup includes current OMNIUM GATHERUM vocalist Jukka Pelkonen (a.k.a. "J"),have issued the following update:

"New year, new tricks. That's the plan in camp ELENIUM as well. We've had some new material bubbling under for a while but since we've had all kinds of setbacks like member departures and delay in the release of the 'Caught in a Wheel' [album breeding new material hasn't been our first concern.

"Now we are, however, feeling better than ever and the group has a got a great chemistry. We feel we can do even better than with 'Caught in a Wheel' and this line up has got a lot to offer. There are plenty of ideas for the next ELENIUM release and we are anxious to bring out some new shit. The next couple of months will be spent breeding, arranging and demoing new shite and after that we`ll know better what kind of a release it will be. It will kick ass — that we know already."

ELENIUM recently announced the addition of Anssi Hallio (drums),Ville Leppänen (guitar; DISORDEAD) and Lauri Koskenniemi (guitar; CRYSTAL BLAZE, ex-IMPERANON) to the group's ranks.

ELENIUM's second album, "Caught in a Wheel", was released last year via the new Finnish label Kampas Records. Two songs from the CD — "Human" and the title track — are available for listening on the group's MySpace page.

ELENIUM's full-length debut, "For Giving - For Getting", was released in 2003 through England's Rage Of Achilles Records.
