ELDRITCH: Hometown Showcase Announced

Italian progressive-aggressive metal band ELDRITCH have posted the following message on their official web site:

"The official release date for [ELDRITCH's sixth album] 'Neighbourhell' will be February 24th in Europe and March 14th in U.S.A. For the other countries like Asia, South America, Australia and the other planets, we'll let you guys know...

"Another big info: ELDRITCH will play a showcase in their hometown (Rosignano M.) on February 25th (plus special guests RAIN and IN MEMORY) just for tasting the fans' reaction about the new live setlist… So, hopefully a lot of you guys will be there!!!!! What else???

"Yeah… Eugene (mastermind) Simone will be the producer for the new album of the young talented band from Tuskany named IN MEMORY. Their second album recordings will start mid-February at ELDRITCH Bunker studios and at Bigwave studios in Livorno. Eugene and Terence will also appear as guests on the album!! Terence Holler will also be a special guest on RAISING FEAR's album as well as Chris Broderick from JAG PANZER!"

As previously reported, a brand-new track from "Neighbourhell", entitled "Save Me", has been made available for download at this location (MP3, 3.5 MB). The recordings for the follow-up to 2004's "Portrait of the Abyss Within" were done between April and June 2005 in three different studios (Syncropain, Bigwave and Eldritch studios),while the mastering was handled by Christian Schmid and R.D. Liapakis at Music Factory in Germany. The artwork was conceived by Dirk Illing for X-M-D. The group recently shot a video for "Save Me", which will be included on the digipack limited edition version of the album.

ELDRITCH have been confirmed for Chicago Powerfest 2006. The fourth annual metal fest featuring both veteran and up-and-coming bands from various sub-genres of metal will take place on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8 at Mr. Kelley's Music Box in Chicago Heights, IL. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are NOCTURNAL RITES, MORGANA LEFAY, AGENT STEEL, BIOMECHANICAL, ION VEIN, TWELFTH GATE, GRACEPOINT, MIRROR BLACK and WITHERING SOUL.
