May 6, 2009

Seattle native Duff McKagan (DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, VELVET REVOLVER, GUNS N' ROSES) will make his radio host debut next week with "Radio Loaded", a one-hour show on 99.9 KISW "The Rock of Seattle" and at KISW.com. The show will air Tuesday, May 12 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Immediately following the broadcast, the show and bonus material will be available for streaming and download at KISW.com.

"I've always had a lot of fun as a guest on the air at KISW," says McKagan. "We figured it was about time they completely turned the reins over to me for an hour."

"Sick", the new full-length album from DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED, sold around 1,400 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD landed at position No. 43 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

"Sick" was released in North America on April 7 via Century Media Records. An e-card for the CD, which was produced by Martin Feveyear (PRESIDENTS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, KINGS OF LEON),is available at this location.

In addition to McKagan, LOADED features drummer Geoff Reading (GREEN APPLE QUICK STEP),bassist Jeff Rouse (VENDETTA RED, ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE) and guitarist Mike Squires (ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE).

LOADED released "Live Episode" (1999) and "Dark Days" (2001),before other commitments meant LOADED were put on the back burner to some extent, although they never split up.

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED's five-song EP, "Wasted Heart", was released in September 2008 via Century Media Records.

DUFF MCKAGAN'S LOADED will support MÖTLEY CRÜE on several European shows this summer.

Duff McKagan was interviewed on the April 1, 2009 edition of "The BJ Shea Morning Experience" on the Seattle station KISW 99.9 FM. Watch part of his appearance below. The McKagan portion of the show is available for download as an MP3 audio file at this location.
