Drummer JARLE 'URUZ' BYBERG Checks In

January 9, 2009

Norwegian drummer Jarle "Uruz" Byberg (SHINING, URGEHAL, PHILOMEL'S EPITAPH, VULTURE LORD, DEN SAAKALDTE) has issued the following update:

"December and these few passed days of January have been a blast for me! I recorded two full-length albums in four days in December. URGEHAL's new sixth full-length album and DEN SAAKALDTE's new album, 'All Hail Pessimism'. The URGEHAL album is recorded at JUV studio (ex-MLP studio as the previous records),release early this year on Season Of Mist's underground actvists. Yes, I have quit the band, but due to the fact that I composed the drums on this album before I decided to leave, the guys wanted me to do the album as a session member.

"'All Hail Pessimism' is recorded at my own Rehearsehell Studios.

"DEN SAAKALDTE consists of members from URGEHAL, SHINING, 1349 and DØDHEIMSGARD. First song from the upcoming album available from today at MySpace, called 'Mesias'. Release party for the album on the kick-off party to Norway's pride the Inferno Festival on 7 February! Released on Avantgarde Records, merchandise by Plastic Head!

"Having these albums on tape, it was time for a short vacation in the Christmas time. When we entered the New Year, I started to lay down drum tracks for ENDEZZMA's debut album at Rehearshell Studios. The recording samples sounds killer, and I really enjoy working on this! ENDEZZMA consist of members from URGEHAL, KVIST, IN LINGUA MORTUA, WOBBLER, BEASTCRAFT and VULTURE LORD, to name a few. The album will contain 10 tracks and will be a real old-school but good-sounding album!!

"I have changed from Vater drum sticks, and inked a deal with Danish B-stick. In my opinion the best stick out there!

"I'll hit the road in February as a session member for SHINING, visiting Germany, Begium, Netherlands and France. Dates/venues on MySpace. SARKOM and KOLDBRANN will support on this tour! Have some free time this year to do session work for serious acts out there if needed. Please contact me through the MySpace site then.
