Drummer GLEN SOBEL Releases Footage From VASCO ROSSI Tour

Drummer Glen Sobel (IMPELLITTERI, SIXX: A.M., VIVIAN CAMPBELL) has posted video footage of his recent tour stint with Italian superstar Vasco Rossi. Sobel was was filling in for Matt Laug (SLASH'S SNAKEPIT, ALICE COOPER) who had to sit out due to a minor muscular injury. The five-week tour included multiple sold-out nights in cities such as Florence, Bologna and Bolzano.

The drum chair on the Vasco Rossi gig has been occupied by many notable American drummers over the years, including Kenny Aronoff (IOMMI, JOHN FOGERTY),Deen Castronovo (JOURNEY, OZZY OSBOURNE),and Gregg Bissonette (DAVID LEE ROTH, JOE SATRIANI); Rossi's current touring lineup also includes guitarist Stef Burns (Y&T, ALICE COOPER).

In related news, Sobel is scheduled to appear at the two-day Laguna Drumfest in Torreon, Mexico this weekend alongside Derek Roddy (NILE, HATE ETERNAL) and others. Sobel will also be behind the kit with SIR SODOFF & THE TRAIN WRECKS, featuring Vivian Campbell (DEF LEPPARD) on guitar and vocals, on Friday, November 5 at Harper's Bar & Grille in Tarzana, California.
