DREAM EVIL Set Release Date For 'The Book Of Heavy Metal'

March 23, 2004

DREAM EVIL, the Swedish band featuring acclaimed producer Fredrik Nordström (HAMMERFALL, IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, etc.) and drummer Snowy Shaw (KING DIAMOND, MERCYFUL FATE, MEMENTO MORI, NOTRE DAME),have set a May 31 European release date through Century Media Records for their third album, "The Book Of Heavy Metal".

The follow-up to last year's "Evilized" was recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden and features special guest appearances by ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN keyboardist Mats Olausson (on the songs "Into The Moonlight", "Crusaders' Anthem", "Chosen Twice" and "Unbreakable Chain") and former HALFORD/current PAINMUSEUM guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak. A single, "The First Chapter", will precede the album on April 26, featuring exclusive and unreleased material. "The Book Of Heavy Metal" will also be released in a limited-edition double-digipak version, featuring a 60-minute bonus DVD with live and behind-the-scenes (making of) footage.

DREAM EVIL are currently working on a "bombastic" video for the song "The Book Of Heavy Metal" with Swedish director Patric Ullaeus of Revolver Film Company (IN FLAMES, DIMMU BORGIR, LACUNA COIL, WITHIN TEMPTATION, PASSENGER).
