London-based "extreme power metal" band DRAGONFORCE have been forced to cancel their scheduled appearance at the Raismesfest in France in September. "Certain assurances were given to the band which have not been fufilled forcing this situation," reads a posting on the group's web site.

In other news, DRAGONFORCE have announced their debut shows in Ireland. The band will be playing the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin, ROI on Sunday, October 2 and Belfast Limelight on Monday, October 3.

DRAGONFORCE's second album, "Sonic Firestorm", is available now on the Noise/Sanctuary label.
