DOYLE WOLFGANG VON FRANKENSTEIN Talks To LoudGuitars.com (Video)

February 4, 2014

Pam of LoudGuitars.com conducted an interview with former MISFITS guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein at this year's NAMM (National Association Of Music Merchants) show, which took place January 23-26 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. You can now watch the chat below.

Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein's song "Valley Of Shadows" was released as a single on June 25, 2013 via iTunes.

Like the other 10 songs on Doyle's new album, "Abominator", "Valley Of Shadows" is rife with horror imagery, while telling the tale of a sick and twisted love story. Doyle's nuclear guitar riffs are mixed to melt speakers, while Alex Story's screaming vocals add to the sonic attack that is "Abominator".

"Abominator" was made available worldwide on iTunes and all digital music services on July 30, 2013.

The effort, which has been called "perhaps the best MISFITS-related record in over a decade," also features Alex Story (CANCERSLUG) on vocals, "Left-Hand" Graham on bass and Dr. Chud (MISFITS) on drums.

Showcasing the evolution of sound Doyle has achieved from his already legendary development with the MISFITS, "Valley Of Shadows" rages with the primal fury and carnality found throughout the band’s debut album. This is a call to arms to true fiends everywhere. The trip through the valley is a brutal thrill filled ride to hell that you won't soon forget. Where hardcore punk meets old school thrash and a new breed of doom metal, "Valley Of Shadows" is just a glimpse into what is to come from "Abominator".

Doyle partnered with Labeled Insane Management and BrainMuscleMedia to create his own label, Monsterman Records.

"Abominator" track listing:

01. Abominator
02. Learn To Bleed

Doyle last year hit the road again with Glenn Danzig to revisit the magic of their legendary early collaborations, this time taking the mayhem with DANZIG's 25th-anniversary tour. On each date, Doyle took to the stage with Danzig to run through a set of MISFITS classics, paying homage to their legacy as, arguably, the most influential horror-punk band of all time.
