DOKKEN Band Members Sued By Former Bassist

November 6, 2002

Former DOKKEN bassist Jeff Pilson has filed suit against two of his ex-bandmates, singer-guitarist Don Dokken and drummer Mick Brown, to dissolve their musical and financial partnership.

The lawsuit, filed Monday (Nov. 4) in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, claims Don Dokken wrongfully hired a replacement bassist for this year's "Long Way Home" album and summer tour after labeling Pilson a "no-show." Pilson also details some of the disputes between DOKKEN members over the years, including Brown's walking out of a concert on September 13 and refusing to finish the tour.

Pilson is claiming breach of contract and demanding a full dissolution of the band's business partnership, along with a complete accounting and settling of financial details, plus attorney's fees and court costs.
