DISTURBED Provides 'Aggression With Hooks'

September 20, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: As DISTURBED releases its third album, "Ten Thousand Fists", today (Sept. 20),the group finds itself competing with newer and harder acts like LAMB OF GOD and SHADOWS FALL. But lead singer David Draiman told Launch that there's a major difference between DISTURBED's sound and some of the newer music on the scene. "There's a huge contingency of kids that want stuff that they can just bash their head open to, you know, and that's great," he said. "We provide that as well. But to us, when we make our music, it has to be fused with melody. The aggression and the power needs to be harnessed with hooks that stay with you."

DISTURBED will mark their new album's release — and wrap their current six-and-a-half-week North American tour — by performing today at the legendary CBGB in New York City. Tickets for the special event are only available through the band's official fan web site, www.thedisturbedones.com, and New York's K-ROCK FM, which is sponsoring the show. The band will headline the Jägermeister Music Tour in November/December (with support from CORROSION OF CONFORMITY),followed by the Music As A Weapon III trek in 2006.
