DISTURBED Is First Off The Line At NHRA Nationals

September 28, 2005

DISTURBED will be special guests at the upcoming AmeriQuest Mortgage National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Nationals, Saturday, October 1 at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois.

The band, whose new Reprise Records release, "Ten Thousand Fists", has entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 1, will be on hand to witness the thrill of NHRA POWERade Drag Racing as guests of the Naylor Racing Pro Stock Team. DISTURBED, along with rock station WJJO are co-sponsoring driver Max Naylor for this unique promotion.

In the wake of the twin hurricane disasters, and on behalf of DISTURBED, Reprise/Warner Bros. Records, Naylor Racing, WJJO, and Knockout Talent, there will be a special eBay auction in which the team will auction off a DISTURBED Pro Stock racecar front end to benefit disaster relief efforts. One lucky fan will have the opportunity to own a rare piece of racing memorabilia which will be autographed by the band, receive a personalized thank you note and numerous pictures of the event. The auction is slated to begin on October 10 at www.ebay.com.

For team owner/driver Max Naylor this kind of promotion hits on all levels, "To merge DISTURBED's rock and roll and powerful NHRA POWERade drag racing is a natural, and to utilize this promotion to help people in need is what we are all about. I applaud the folks at Warner Bros./Reprise, as well as DISTURBED and WJJO for recognizing the value and awareness that Naylor Pro Stock Racing and NHRA POWERade Drag Racing can bring."

David Draiman, lead singer of DISTURBED, adds, "We're very happy to be working with the NHRA and Naylor Racing. Joining these teams to bring together an exciting promotion that benefits disaster relief efforts is something the band and I are proud of."

Knockout Talent, who has partnered other numerous music acts with the NHRA, has put together a unique contest for one lucky DISTURBED fan. During both qualifying runs at 12:15 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., fans displaying a banner with the words "The NHRA, DISTURBED, Naylor Racing, and WJJO rock Chicago!" will be in the running to win a special private meet and greet with DISTURBED, photo with the band and the winning banner, DISTURBED's new CD, and lunch with the band in the Naylor Racing pit. Upon completion of all Pro Stock Car qualifying, fans are asked to descend upon the pits of Naylor Racing with their banners where the members of DISTURBED, WJJO, Naylor Racing and Knockout Talent will announce a winner. This contest is for Saturday, Oct. 1 only.

Following up their appearance at NHRA Nationals, the group is set to headline the first leg of the Jägermeister Music Tour with dates throughout the Midwest and East Coast, beginning in early November and running through late December.
