DISSECTION: Stockholm Show Filmed For Upcoming DVD

November 5, 2004

Reactivated Swedish death metallers DISSECTION filmed their headlining performance in Stockholm on Saturday (Oct. 30) for an upcoming DVD, tentatively due next year. The as-yet-untitled disc will also feature a band documentary.

In other news, DISSECTION mainman Jon Nödtveidt (vocals and guitar) told Finland's Sonera Plaza that the group's next full-length effort will surface in the fall of 2005. "We will continue touring all around the world (probably South America and so on) during the winter/spring 2005 and we will also be playing summer festivals all around Europe and so on. We have about 11 new songs that we are going to record during the spring 2005 so the next album comes out in the autumn."

With regards to which record company might end up releasing the next album, Jon said, "I don't know the record label yet. We have been getting offers from many labels, but we haven't decided anything yet. So we will see who releases the album... I already have a title for the record in mind but it's too early to release that information right now."

DISSECTION performed a headlining set at the nearly sold-out Nosturi club in Helsinki, Finland Thursday night (Nov. 4). Check out pictures from Sonera Plaza.
