DISSECTION: South American Tour Dates Announced

August 18, 2005

Reactivated Swedish death metallers DISSECTION have lined up the following South American dates during September:

Sep. 02 - Sao Paulo/SP (BRAZIL) - Hangar 110
Sep. 04 - Porto Alegre/RS (BRAZIL) - Manará
Sep. 09 - Santiago (CHILE) - Teatro Gabriela Mistral
Sep. 10 - Caracas (VENEZUELA) - La Casa Del Artista

As previously reported, DISSECTION have uploaded rough-mix versions of two new songs from their forthcoming CD on their official web site. Check them out: "Xeper-I-Set" (mp3, lyrics),"Starless Aeon" (mp3, lyrics).

DISSECTION entered the studio on February 2 to begin recording their long-awaited third album, the group's first release since 1995's classic album "Storm of the Light's Bane". The recording is taking place at Black Syndicate Studios in Stockholm, Sweden, with DISSECTION mainman Jon Nödtveidt's brother Emil Nödtveidt (a.k.a. THE DEATHSTARS' Nightmare Industries) and Skinny Kangur at the helm. Eleven songs are being recorded for the album and the material is being regarded by the band as "a work of sonic black magic, actively channelling the anti-cosmic current 218."

DISSECTION — who recently announced the addition of bassist Haakon Forwald (a.k.a. General K; MYRKSKOG, DISIPLIN) to the group's ranks — are currently in negotiations with several labels for the upcoming release (which is planned for the fall 2005),but the recordings are being completely financed by the band itself independent of any record company. A final decision about the group's new label home is expected to be made soon.

Late last year, DISSECTION released their comeback single/EP, "Maha Kali", via Escapi Music/Screaming Ferret Wreckords.
