DISINTER Part Ways With Singer, Seek Replacement

October 1, 2003

Chicago-based black/death metallers DISINTER have announced the departure of their longtime frontman Zion. The singer, who will be leaving for California in December, will perform his last gig with the group on December 6 at Café Lura in Chicago.

DISINTER are currently seeking a replacement vocalist. "We are looking for someone within the metal community of the Chicago-land area to be the singer for this band," the group write on their web site. "We are an international touring act, with a recording contract. We rehearse two to three days a week. Dedication, undying professionalism, respect for each other's time, and the want or desire and drive to write, rehearse, and perform live are required as well. Friendship and 'chemistry' is a must - we want someone who can hang as well, show up to rehearsal and if we don't jam just hang and bullshit or party or just talk metal. Any interested parties, please contact DISINTER at: [email protected]."

DISINTER recently completed work on their new studio album, "As We Burn", at Studio One in Racine, Wisconsin. An early 2004 release is expected.

The tentative track listing for the album is as follows:

01. Go Away and Rot!!!
02. As We Burn
03. Visions of Murder
04. Born to Darkness
05. When I Die (Dig Me No Grave)
06. Murals of Horror
07. The Pillars of Nosgoth
08. Within These Walls
09. Black Seas of Infinity
10. Burn With Me
