DISILLUSION Part Ways With Bassist, Seek Replacement

September 13, 2005

DISILLUSION, the prog-death band from Leipzig, Germany, have parted ways with bassist Ralf Willis less than five months after he joined the group. "Although we were highly euphoric in the beginning, we now know that things simply did not go together," the group write on their web site. "In Willis, the band has lost an extraordinary musician — but not a friend. At this point there is no replacement, neither on stage nor in the studio. We would like to thank Ralf for his serious approach and the energy he invested, and wish him and his family all the best … and we keep on searching … the upcoming live shows will again be as the regular three-piece."

DISILLUSION's full-length debut, "Back to Times of Splendor", was released in April 2004 through Metal Blade Records. "Back to Times of Splendor" was mixed at Tam Recording Studios in Zwickau, Germany and was mastered at Mastersound Studios in Fellbach, Germany with ATROCITY mainman Alex Krull.
