DIECAST Gear Up For Extensive Fall Touring; Album Reissue In The Works

September 19, 2005

DIECAST are currently gearing up for a flurry of fall touring activity, which will kick off on Tuesday, September 20 on an 11-date trek with ILL NINO, leading into a massive national U.S. tour direct support to AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE in late October. The group just completed a highly successful run alongside 3 INCHES OF BLOOD after spending their summer months on an extensive European run with NAPALM DEATH that saw them hit over 15 different countries and play such esteemed events as the Fury Fest, Pressure Fest and Sweden Rock. DIECAST will also be featured guests on Fuse's "Metal Asylum" next month.

Jeremy Wooden (bass) checks in with the following report: "We just raced home from the 3 INCHES OF BLOOD and IF HOPE DIES tour and it was nothing short of amazing. Once again we've been lucky enough to tour with great bands and great people. The 3 INCHES OF BLOOD fans accepted us with open arms and minds. We have to give a big thanks to the IF HOPE DIES camp who lent us their cabs and an occasional bench to sleep on in their van. Without them we wouldn't have been able to be a part of this tour. We'd also like to thank Leena and Dustin who supplied all of the bands with great food and a great time before and after the shows, and Pat and the SWITCHPIN guys for setting up the shows on the way home. We apologize to the Minnesota fans for having to cancel the Minneapolis show but our van was in serious need of help and we start another run of dates with ILL NINO this Tuesday, which would have left us with no time for the needed repairs. We promise to make it up to you when we come through there with AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE in late October.

"As I mentioned above we start an 11-date run direct support to ILL NINO tomorrow and we couldn't be happier. We've met them before and they are awesome guys and an amazing band. Their fans are insane and hungry for a good time so we plan to deliver. We will be touring non-stop till the end of the year so be sure to come out to the shows and party with us, slap us on the ass, kill everything in the pit, tell us we suck or whatever makes you happy. See you all soon."

DIECAST’s new album, "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies", continues to garner critical acclaim led by the strength of the hit singles "Medieval" and "Rise and Oppose", which remains in heavy rotation on both "Metal Asylum" and "Headbangers Ball". The disc will officially be reissued early next year with a new track, a cover version of SLAYER’s "Raining Blood", new artwork and both video clips.
