DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA To Perform At Denmark's AFIA FILM FESTIVAL Closing Gala

February 6, 2008

Swedish avant-garde rock band DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA will perform at the AFIA Film Festival's closing gala on March 17 in Århus, Denmark. The gala show will be held after the awards ceremony at the Scandinavian Congress Centre. According to the group, "the gig will be somewhat different than the usual DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA gig. It will be divided in two sets with a break in between. The first half we'll be concentrating on some calmer, classical-inspired music and the second will be a full-blown set with the difference that we'll be bringing some reinforcements along in the shape of a small horn section from the opera house of Karlstad, Sweden along with us. So it will be a cool night for sure! This will be a chance to play some new material live as well as trying some of the older stuff in a rearranged shape."

DIABLO SWING ORCHESTRA's debut album, "The Butcher's Ballroom", was released in 2006.
