DEVILEECH Change Studio Location For Forthcoming Album

October 6, 2002

Portuguese extreme metal act DEVILEECH have changed their minds about recording their second album at Gothenburg, Sweden's Studio Fredman, because "the band needs a more powerful and distinct sound [than the one offered by said facility]," according to an official Maquiavel Music Entertainment newsletter. At this time, likely candidates for a recording studio for the forthcoming effort include Woodhouse Studios in Germany (THE KOVENANT, TIAMAT, MORGOTH, MOONSPELL, ROTTING CHRIST) and Soundsuite Studios in France (MORGUL, TRISTANIA, DESTROYER666, GEHENNA),but a final decision has not yet been made on the matter.

DEVILEECH's upcoming CD — the band's first with new vocalist Ricardo Almeida and drummer Jorge Gonçalves — is tentatively titled Deviant and is likely to include the following cuts, among others:

01. Deviant
02. Blood Sweat & Sperm
03. Whorefied
04. 7 Teen
05. Just like Dogs
06. Downward Spiral
07. Raging Hormones
08. Achromatic Impetus
09. 30 Second Intercourse
10. The Call of Flesh
11. Slackness

Renowned artist Travis Smith has been enlisted to develop the layout for Deviant, which the band promise will be "twice as shocking" as anything the group have done before.
