DESTRUCTION, NEGURA BUNGET Confirmed For U.K.'s DAMNATION FESTIVAL

German thrash titans DESTRUCTION and Romanian black metallers NEGURA BUNGET have been confirmed for U.K.'s Damnation Festival, set to take place Saturday, October 24 at Leeds University Union. They'll be joined by Stoke-On-Trent's sludge veterans CHARGER in creating chaos over three stages.

Commented DESTRUCTION in a statement: "DESTRUCTION looks forward to playing at Damnation Festival in October.

"This festival appearance will be DESTRUCTION's first and maybe only U.K. show in the year 2009.

"This is why the band is especially excited about bringing back their thrash anthems to Great Britain and hope to see all their fans there!"

The trio will further add diversity to a bill which already includes THERAPY?, ROTTING CHRIST, THIS WILL DESTROY YOU and a farewell show from the mighty MISTRESS.

And according to NEGURA BUNGET's Negru, their U.K.-exclusive performance at Damnation will be a special event.

He said: "We are happy to be back in the UK, and we are planning to surprise the audience at Damnation Festival. Be there and enjoy a special performance!"

The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

THERAPY?

ROTTING CHRIST
THIS WILL DESTROY YOU
AKERCOCKE
A STORM OF LIGHT
MISTRESS
NEGURA BUNGET
MINSK
EXTREME NOISE TERROR
