DESTINY Cancel MOTALA METAL FESTIVAL Appearance

April 11, 2005

Swedish metallers DESTINY have been forced to cancel their appearance at the Motala Metal Festival on April 16.

"DESTINY guitarist Janne Ekberg's grandfather passed away recently and the funeral will be on the same day as the festival. We did look into different solutions with temporary stand in guitarists from DESTINY's past but in the end the band felt that the time to rehearse was not enough to guarantee the high standard that should be expected at a DESTINY concert. The organisers of Motala Metal Festival were very understanding to the situation. Both they and the band hope that DESTINY will be part of the next festival instead.

"Replacing DESTINY at the festival will be none other than DESTINY's lead singer Kristoffer Göbel's other band, FALCONER.

"DESTINY wishes both FALCONER and Motala Metal Festival the best of luck on Saturday."
