DEMIRICOUS Announce New Drummer

January 11, 2006

Indianapolis-based death/thrash metal band DEMIRICOUS have announced the addition of touring drummer Mike Rafferty to the group's ranks. "This will be a trial before making him the permanent band member," reads an official press release. "He has previously drummed for GOD BELOW and BRAND NEW SIN. He has also recently done drum teching for TRIVIUM. He’s a killer guy and a killer drummer. The band is very happy so far. His first show with the band will be the CD-release show [on January 24 at the Emerson Theater in Indianapolis]."

DEMIRICOUS's Metal Blade Records debut, "One (Hellbound)" was recorded in June 2005 at Planet Z studios with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL). A January 24 release is expected. The band recently shot their debut video for the track "Vagrant Idol" with acclaimed director Dale "Rage" Resteghini (HATEBREED, MUDVAYNE, ILL NINO, SHADOWS FALL). Co-directing was Resteghini's protégé Frankie Nasso (SWORN ENEMY, DANNY DIABLO, AUGUST BURNS RED).
