Despite an announcement by DEICIDE's European booking agent, Massive Music, the band's frontman, Glen Benton, would join the group's in-progress European tour on January 13 in Paris, France after being forced to miss the first week of dates due to what is believed to be a pressing legal matter back home in Florida, Benton was nowhere to be found at last night's concert, according to fan postings on the VS-Webzine.com web site. Check out a few pictures taken at the Paris show by going to this location. A number of photos from DEICIDE's headlining show in London Friday night (January 12) can be found here (courtesy of Pete Woods). Filling in on vocals at the London gig for Glen Benton were Garbaty "Yaha" (DISSENTER), Jason Peppiatt (PSYCROPTIC), Martin Pedersen (VISCERAL BLEEDING) and Solomon J Lucifer Christ (TED MAUL).
Although the Spanish promoter Matarile withdrew its support for the tour Thursday (January 11), DEICIDE has vowed to go ahead with the Spanish leg of the tour and has now re-booked the dates that were cancelled by Matarile. The new Spanish tour dates are as follows:
Jan. 15 - Irun, SPA - Sala Tunk
Jan. 17 - Madrid, SPA - Ritmo & Compas
Jan. 18 - Tarragona, SPA - Sala Golfus Club
As previously reported, Seth van Loo (SEVERE TORTURE, NOX, CENTURION) handled the vocal duties for the first four dates of DEICIDE's European tour.
